Lifeguards for Life

Alumni memberships are available to anyone who was formerly an active employee of an ocean, bay, lake, river or open water lifesaving or rescue service.

You could qualify for the following benefits:

Membership in America's professional beach lifeguard association

USLA membership card

Subscription to American Lifeguard Magazine

Lifeguard educational conferences

Local, regional and national Board of Directors meetings

Public education materials

USLA decal and other items

The latest information on open water rescue

Networking among other open water rescuers

All you need to get back into the lifeguarding world is a completed membership form and $30.00

Download and print your form. Then simply mail or drop off the form at the listed address.

Alumni members that have volunteered at least eight hours of service in a current lifeguard season or have retired from a full-time lifeguard position qualify for special benefits:

Participation in USLA-sanctioned competitions

Regional, national and international lifeguard exchanges

Qualifying alumni members can then join Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue Lifeguards at our next regional competition. You will be able to compete in your age group and open events.

If you worked as an Ocean Rescue lifeguard with the Town of Carolina Beach prior to 2000, we would like to recognize you.
